FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm flexible to talk about a customer's budget and their needs and goals.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll assess their needs and goals and customize lessons accordingly. I'm always down to have a conversation with a prospective student to ensure we're on the same page.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years as a writer and editor at Guitar Player, and for the past ten I've been the Frets Editor in charge of acoustic coverage. I've written over 100 Learn lesson columns that make a great curriculum for acoustic-electric singer songwriters. I've done everything from teaching private lessons at a small mom & pop shop in a small midwestern town to doing Master Class interviews with the likes of Dweezil Zappa. I grew up in a musical household, and my grandfather was music professor at Oberlin College. I've played a million gigs of every sort, have released numerous records, and can be much more of a full on music career mentor than simply a music teacher for anyone interested in pursuing a serious path in the biz.
