FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have standard hourly rates. Please contact us for an estimate of the studio time you will need for your project. For clients that want to invest a little more time into their projects, we have a studio membership. The membership consists of a monthly fee that includes reduced rates for members. The hours will accrue on the account until they are used, so you can sign up for a membership now and use the hours that build upon the account later in the year. This is a great way to budget a recording session and spread out the investment. Members will also receive promotions on studio services and events that are not available to the public. Visit our site for full details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with a client at the studio to get an idea for the project and the direction it will take. It's good to get everyone on the same page so that when production starts, the process is efficient and the creative ideas can contribute to the production process. We do offer free consultation meetings at the studio. Please visit our website and navigate to the booking page for appointments.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated at the top of my class in 2001. Since then, I've been continuing to educate myself on the advances in audio production. I currently teach audio production for the Recording Connection school based out of Los Angeles, CA. Students come to me to learn the essentials needed for professional audio production. I have 1on1 lessons with students to get them up to speed on the critical aspects of recording and mixing. Once a student completes my courses, they're prepared and skilled to work as an audio engineer. We're working with Pro Tools HD10 in our studio production. I like to know all options and the full capabilities of my software. I strive to learn more about audio production every day. With the ever-changing world of digital media, this learning process will be an endless endeavor. I do teach private and group classes for learning audio production and Pro Tools Software. If you're looking for a few new techniques to have on your palette, give me a call and we can arrange a lesson package that will give you an edge on your production skills.
