Hi, I'm Marianne Barlow, a singer-songwriter and music teacher with a certificate of music education from Cal State East Bay. I've been teaching private music lessons since 2016. My specialty is piano for young beginners, but I also teach beginning to intermediate guitar, ukulele, songwriting and music theory. I taught preschool through third grade for 18 years before becoming a music teacher, so I really know how to connect with young children on their level. Private lessons are an incomparable opportunity for you or your child to learn a new skill YOUR way. I call my business Organic because I meet each student where they are and use a combination of lesson books, games, internet resources, and activities to help you meet your goals and play music that you love. My daughter really enjoyed her time learning from Marianne. She's a great teacher, very knowledgeable about a ton of instruments, and is supportive but will also push her students just the right amount. The music parties were fun and provided great milestones for my daughter to work towards. Overall we had a great experience!
