Introduction
Thank you so much for your interest in training with me! I am looking forward to guiding you in your journey toward healing from the inside out. My name is Melissa but you can call me Meli. I am based in Oakland and have been training since 2018 all over the Bay in a bunch of different settings. I started my journey at 24 Hour Fitness, moved onto group training at the park and have now transitioned into independent solo sessions. From HIIT style workouts to strength training I will guide you through a custom plan based on your current needs. I can train all over the Bay Area, you have access to any 24HF when training with me (I can come to you or you can come to Oakland). I am also open to training you at your local/personal gym as long as it is allowed and at an outdoor space like the park as well. My training style is gracefully gentle. I like to operate from a space of listening to your needs and ensuring that you are always listening to your body. I will support you and push you but I will always encourage you to listen to the voice within when it comes to how much you can handle. I have the most experience in working with young women but I am open to training anybody who feels called to working with me. I am passionate about healing from the inside out and that means combining mindful movement with conscious consumption, creative expression and restful reflection. I like to help guide my clients throughout the healing journey with a combination of modalities that support the mind/body/soul as a whole. I believe in: - Whole food nourishment - Herb support - Cycle syncing - Entheogen support - Breathwork - All things holistic healing! Prices are sliding scale because knowledge of health & wellness should be accessible to ALL!!! I'm here for you when you're ready to commit to pouring into your self. I highly recommend working with Meli. She was able to customize workout plans for me that were challenging yet approachable, targeting the areas I wanted to focus on. Shes fun to work out with and very knowledgeable!

Why can’t I pick them all? Meli is responsive, Meli’s work is valuable for everyone, she’s professional, she offers great work quality and she’s always punctual. I was recently a new kidney transplant recipient, it’s been 7 months and what I’ve learned is that physical activity is very crucial. I ate right but I didn’t have the motivation to get myself into the habit of exercising. Let alone, I could’ve injured myself from using the wrong form. Ever since I hired Meli to be my fitness trainer, I’ve improved on my form, I’ve noticed my endurance increased and I feel more energized throughout the day than before. Her persistence, her passion & her dedication for health makes me feel like she wants me to meet my goals as much as I want to. What really stood out to me is that she allows me to pace myself, she doesn’t push me hard when I need to stop, she’s not Sargent push-up, she advises me to listen to my body but if I wanted a challenge and requested it, she will with no hesitation put me to work. She flows the way you flow at any level. She does text me and gives me homework for the days I’m not with her. I don’t think I’ve ever had workout sessions with any other trainers I’ve had where they cared that deeply about my goals.

Melissa has been my trainer on and off for about 5 years now and I will never train with anyone else! She continues to grow in her knowledge of ALL things wellness. She curates a tailored routine around my schedule and health needs. Melissa motivates, and holds me accountable in a healthy way. She also has helped me with meal planning, and recipes to make sure I’m putting the work in outside the gym as well. The BEST!

I’m so grateful I finally found a female personal trainer in the Bay Area that I feel comfortable and safe with. After just a single session I noticed an immediate and drastic improvement in my form. Meli makes training feel exciting and fun, not only is it a great time but I feel amazing after! She travels to Pinole from Oakland just to train with me because I don’t drive. I really appreciate how flexible she is with her schedule and communication. She goes above and beyond to make sure that all my needs are met!! I really look forward to continuing to grow with Meli.
