My background as a pro musician and youth counselor provides me the unique insight into helping a child learn music. My experience playing in bands with musicians like Mia Zapata, Joan Jett, and teaching drums since age 18, uniquely qualifies me to teach at all levels. Some people don't play well with others, so they teach or at home alone; others play well with others and teach. Fortunately, I'm told I embody bother positive qualities. Students and their different ways of hearing music and learning to play. I learn as much from my students as they from me.
