Hello Drummers!
I have taught private drumset lessons to students of all ages and abilities since 2014 and I love it! I strive to share my passion for the drums with my students and I understand the potential impact that learning an instrument can have on a student's wellbeing. My lessons are organized, and my kind and supportive nature has helped me excel as a teacher. I genuinely care for my students' musical and personal growth. Additionally, I have several years of experience working with children with disabilities and have seen the great benefits they receive from learning the drums. Most important, I make sure my students are always having fun!
I have over 8 years of experience as a professional, working musician playing with bands of all styles. I am also a producer and audio engineer. Additionally, I like to teach my drum students music theory as it develops better musicianship.

Mike is an amazing teacher! He was able to connect with our 11 year old daughter like no other music teacher and keeps things fun and engaging. She has made impressive progress on her drums and she doesn't even mind practicing! I would definitely recommend him to anyone who has a kid that is interested in learning to play the drums.

Mike is excellent with kids, he is patient and talented. My son has learned a lot in the last year. He makes the classes fun for him since he is learning to play songs from his favorite bands Queen, Nirvana, etc. He had zero experience before and now he knows great technique and songs. for He is also very flexible depending on my hectic schedule, I can go for virtual or in-person lessons. Highly recommended.

I've been taking lessons with Mike for about 7 months and he has greatly helped me improve my drumming skills. His classes are always fun and engaging, let's me bring in my own songs to learn and is always down to answer and questions I have.

Working with Mike has been a great experience since day 1. I didn't know anything about drums or music theory going in, but Mike made sure we spent some time going over the basics of drum terminology and counting, as well as answering any questions I had right off the bat. I really enjoy getting to work on some of the fundamentals while also working on learning some of my favorite songs - it really helps demystify the music that I listen to and makes me a much better listener of music in general. Definitely could not recommend working with Mike any more, the process has been great!
