FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A $95 trip charge applies to all service calls outside Oakdale. All regular pool repairs/piping have documented flat-rates, and T&M work is set at $125/hr. plus parts at wholesale. Holidays and after-hours calls are at 1.5x hourly rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Customer makes contact, provides slight details of pool or spa needs 2) After a short Q&A session, and frequently texted or emailed pictures, Pool Power is able to ‘get a handle’ on customers’ full system. This allows parts and time management before the visit, to save on hourly charges. 3) As primary need/job is completed, other portions of system are assessed, adjusted and tuned: this always adds value to work time, and leaves pool running better than before. 4) Customers pay invoice (which usually contains useful notes and tips for future) with cash, check or money order.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mainstream plumbing certifications and inspection credentials, as well as swimming pool operators’ certification must be updated periodically by accredited college curricula: New materials and installation techniques are continuously requiring seminars and classes to update skills.
