- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are competitively priced. New to thumbtack. Our clients tell me that we are 10 to 15% less than our competition. It is my commitment to work with each of our clients and make sure that we are fitting projects within their budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After discussing the project with you by phone. I set up an appointment to meet you at your home. Going through all of the details of your wish list. After which time, I put together a comprehensive proposal. If we make a decision that we would like to work together. We will begin working on Design, materials selection, and ordering materials. As well as selecting a calendar date to start Construction. In addition, we work with an engineer and drafts person For the permitting process, should permits be required. We are a Design/Build Company. Which means that we do everything in house. We try to take the stress off of our clients plate, as much as possible. I have been in business since 1997… It is my passion to take care of our clients and see your dream project come to fruition. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my first company, known as “Terra Outdoor” Today..In Mill Valley.. in 1997… I designed and built outdoor teak furniture. My husband was a general contractor… And I worked by his side for many years. When I sold the company in 2004. I started a Play structure company known as “Marin backyard”. I designed and built elaborate play houses and play structures. When I sold that business in 2009. I started my own construction business for seniors and people who had disabilities. That business did well and morphed into a larger luxury home remodeling company. I find that as long as I am passionate about what I do and help the general public with a big heart… I take this work very personally, and each of my clients are very very important to me. Our team is outstanding and have really earned the five stars that they get each time we work. I’m incredibly proud of their work ethic.
