- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We aim to make the onboarding process seamless and enjoyable for new customers. Here’s how it typically works: 1. Initial Inquiry: Start by reaching out to us via Thumbtack. Let us know your needs and any specific requests you have for your pet. 2. Consultation: We offer a free consultation, either in-person or virtually, to discuss your requirements in detail. During this meeting, we’ll gather important information about your pet, including their care routines, behavior, and any special needs. 3. Service Agreement: After the consultation, we’ll provide you with a service agreement that outlines our services, pricing, and any relevant policies. This ensures that both parties are on the same page. 4. Introductory Visit: For pet sitting services, we can schedule a meet-and-greet with your pet before the start of our services. This helps your pet become familiar with us and reduces any anxiety. 5. Booking Confirmation: Once everything is agreed upon, we’ll confirm your booking and provide you with any additional information you might need. 6. Ongoing Communication: During our time together, we maintain open communication to ensure you are updated about your pet’s well-being and can address any concerns that may arise. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Sheri’s TLC Pet Care, my qualifications are rooted in extensive hands-on experience rather than formal certifications. I have over 15 years of experience as a pet sitter, dog walker, nanny, housekeeper, caregiver—essentially, I have done it all! Throughout my life, I have had cats and dogs of my own, and I currently have three cats whom I love dearly. As a dedicated pet owner, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and responsible to care for your pets while you are away. I can assure you that I will provide your pets with the same love and attention that I give to my own. Recently, I have focused more on dog walking, and I have come to truly enjoy this aspect of my work. I relish the time spent giving attention to dogs, and I also offer in-home pet sitting services for both dogs and cats. I recognize that pets can experience anxiety or loneliness without their owners, which is why I prioritize providing them with the loving care and attention they crave. With my experience handling various pets, I understand their behaviors and emotions. I know how to manage situations, such as when a cat scratches or bites out of fear, as I believe it is a natural reaction. My love for all animals, whether they are mine or someone else’s, ensures that your pets will be in good hands.
