We focus on making piano lessons a positive experience for all students by using a playing based method that produces tangible results. Students will learn different styles from contemporary, classical, blues, jazz, accompaniment as well as learn how to improvise and do their own arrangements and compositions. Things you must know prior to contacting us: -We only offer online lessons. We have found that it is just as effective as learning in person. -We are based in Los Angeles and have students from other states and other countries. We are always able to find a time that works best for both parties and will continue to teach online lessons to students that are not in our area. -We offer a FREE discovery session where you can learn more about what and how we teach prior to you jumping into your first lesson with us. -99% of our students are in group lessons. We specialize in fun and engaging group lessons where students learn more effectively than traditional private lessons. -We also offer private lessons if that is what the student prefers.

This was my first experience playing piano and Kat's chosen teaching method really made it easy for me! Following the "Simply Music" method of teaching/learning provides an accessible educational approach that I highly recommend and enjoy. Every short 30-minute lesson, I was taught a short song by using different patterns and number combinations. I felt my growth with every lesson. Kat's teaching is transparent and easy to follow for all ages. There are companion materials that make it simple to practice and study on your own time as well. I highly recommend Katz Keys for every single age group! Though I haven't had any other piano lessons or teachers to compare this experience with, I feel that in a short time my growth with Kat has been evident and tangible. If you take lessons with Kat, you will grow as a musician, no matter what your personal goal with piano is. I highly recommend Katz Keys!

TAKE LESSONS WITH KAT! First off this woman does everything, if you are an artist of any kind you can relate to her. I got a special promo deal to start with, and I learned so much! I noticed improvements in my piano playing almost right away. She is extremely organized and responsive, you can rely on her to be there with you for all of your questions along your journey. She has several applications to go along with your lessons that will set you up for success and keep you accountable to practice which is my biggest struggle. I've never encountered her song-learning method and it really takes a lot of pressure off and makes learning the piano as an adult again super fun! I would recommend Kat to anyone trying to learn piano, no matter your age, background or level. She is the real deal!

Our 8-year-old son has been taking lessons with Kat for over a year now, and we truly appreciate the heart and passion she puts into her students and teaching. First of all, we love the positive values she instills, such as beginning every class with each student sharing what they are grateful for that day. Her style of teaching is patient yet firm, always accompanied by a warm smile, sense of humor, encouraging words and contagious enthusiasm. Also, the teaching technique she uses is unique and effective, as our son has been able to learn quite a good number of songs quickly in a variety of music styles and has confidently participated in several virtual recitals. And for his one-year-of-piano lessons anniversary, Kat gifted him a fun shirt to commemorate the occasion as well as a shareable recording honoring his piano achievements. It was so thoughtful and shows that she is willing to go the extra mile. Kat is truly a gem of a piano teacher (and very talented too!) and such a pleasure to work with!

Hey have to admit I was a little uneasy about taking piano online. I was under the impression I needed to have hands-on instruction, but I was 1000% wrong. Katz Keys is AMAZING from day 1. We worked through multiple songs and we was amazed at my progress. She has two online resources that are great. She is responsive to emails and txt when your in a pickle. I learned about seven songs from Jan to July. She has student contest and an end of season recital. There may be one for the winter, I’m not sure because I started with n Jan. Katz is so sweet, encouraging and upbeat. There were many I thought I sounded looking je cats scratching on chalk board, but she removes ALL self doubt. I’m glad I chose to begin my lessons with her and you will be too!!!

Kat is a very encouraging teacher! I haven't practiced piano seriously in over 12 years and decided to try her classes. Only wish I did it sooner! I never learned through this method before but I feel like it's the first time I got to "play" on the piano rather than learning strict sheet music; which is obviously beautiful and fun, but I was surprised how many mind blowing moments she gave me in just 4 classes. Like I said, only wish I had started sooner.

All adult students and parents of kids who are taking the lessons need to attend a FREE discovery session prior to starting. Check our site for the discovery session dates.
