FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As soon as you apply for training I'll review your information before reaching out to schedule a phone call for us to go over your goals together and see if we are a good fit. From there I like to take my clients through an intro session, both for you to see how it feels to train with me and make sure you love it, as well as for me to see your current fitness level so that I know the best program to recommend to you going forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology Exercise Science as well as my NASM Personal Trainer Certification. I specialize in weight loss and nutrition, holding multiple continuing certifications in weight loss as well as advanced nutrition for fat loss.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I found fitness at a young age after going to the beach with a girlfriend and feeling extremely insecure in my bikini. As soon as I got home I typed into YouTube "how to tone your abs" and that's how my fitness journey began. I worked out in my room every single day and went from eating double chocolate chip muffins from costco for breakfast and kfc popcorn chicken for lunch to kale salads with spiraling and salmon, roasted brussel sprouts, and avocado for dinner. As I began to transform, I realized just how much this transformation had to do with so much more than just getting abs. As my confidence began to shift and my energy began to change, I watched myself have a sense of control and empowerment over my life develop that I had never had before. It was in that moment I realized that this was exactly what I wanted to do for other women, because fitness is about transforming SO much more than just your body. It may have started with a desire to “get abs”...just like your fitness journey may be starting with you wanting to lose -30 lbs and fit back into your favorite jeans…but what you’re really looking for is the ability to be able to feel confident in who you are and how you FEEL. To not have to avoid pictures at family events, to feel sexy in the bedroom with your man, to feel beautiful wearing that skims dress you’ve always wanted to purchase, to stop holding back who you are and playing small because you don’t recognize yourself in the mirror. It’s never been about the abs or the weight loss. It’s always been about the confidence, empowerment, and happiness that being truly healthy and taking care of you brings.
