FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on a few things such as the event, the venue, the equipment needed and the distance. However, I would like to let you know that no price is ever set in stone and I am more then willing to work with customers in order to fit within their budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have an initial call with the customer to find what they are looking for in a DJ? Are they looking for strictly dance music or do they want some chill/conversation music first, then dance music later and also what style of music are they looking for. I also like to ask about the venue as it helps me know what type of sound equipment will be needed. Smaller venue requires smaller speakers that way you get good sound, but at the same time people can still hear one another and a larger venue would need more sound and also will there need to be sound in multiple rooms.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in DJ’n when I was in my teenage years. I got into the art of it due to my love of music. My parents raised me right and I grew up on a lot of the classics like Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, MJ, Prince, etc. They also raised me to not have a one track mind and only listen to one type of genre of music, so I not only play, but also listen to all different genres of music from classic soul, classic rock, disco/funk, 90’s New Jack, Hip-Hop, R&B, Country you name it. I feel that because I grew up on the classics and listening to all genres it has helped my ear a lot and gives me an advantage as I am well versed on all era’s of music and all genres in order to satisfy everyone’s needs.
