We hired Fatos Plaka and his crew to do a partial remodel of the kitchen. Removing an older wall hanging cabinet and replacing it with a 36" by 48" window. Work was done as promised, on time and price was very fair. We will hire Fatos again for another project in the next few weeks.

Fatos was hired to remodel a bathroom. On inspection of the piping under the house he discovered many leaks, instead of passing us off to another contractor he removed the old iron pipes and replaced everything himself. We appreciated his honestly in pointing out the leaks. Fatos is a master at all tasks in the project, from plumbing to electrical to tiling. He was thorough and honest from start to finish. And just look at the wonderful finished bathroom. I strongly recommend him.

Giving a thumbs up to Fatos for his work remodeling and extending an outside deck. He works by the hour with direct reimbursement for materials. His workmanship is top notch and I am very satisfied with the end product His initial estimate of about two weeks for this project was about right. I had the initial estimated quantity of materials delivered and paid for, then he got the rest ad-hoc as needed for which I reimbursed him. I've done plenty of construction myself, both contracting and with a hammer. But I wanted this done quickly and didn't have the time myself (mom's house in Napa) as I don't live nearby. Was a little nervous about the hourly arrangement as this can remove incentive to get work done timely and pad the bill, especially as I couldn't be there constantly to oversee. Happy to say Fatos worked hard and honestly and I feel I got good value for the money. To be clear he is a handyman, not a licensed contractor. This means liability is on the customer and any potential dispute resolution can be murkey. With that said, I recommend him for your small to medium sized projects.

We are so lucky. We found Fatos from Plaka construction. Fatos’s work ethics of the highest standards. He showed up every day. He finished the job when he said he would. He’s a professional his work quality is incredible. Fatos built us a Trex deck with railing and hog fence. He also built the front stairs to the entrance of the house onto the deck. He finished the job on time. He also asked us to buy the materials and he gave us a very good rate to do the work. We lucked out to get this guy and his company. He also did the baseboards in our house. He installed two sinks. He grouted the shower and he is our go to guy we expect him to be coming back soon to do more for us, couldn’t be happier. Was in a pinch to get a new water heater installed and Plaka Construction was a blessing! He showed up that day to do a estimate and was able to squeeze me in on the weekend. So friendly, honest and efficient. I highly recommend him as well as I will use him again for any other projects.
