Introduction
I teach beginners and intermediate students the Japanese language. This can be concurrent with formal studies in the language or stand-alone instruction. Understanding the culture is a very important part of learning Japanese, and I teach customs and practices along with the language. I also use music to help the student learn words and phrases and to add interest and depth to the learning process.
I have a BA in Asian Studies and an MBA in International Management from UCLA. I resided in Japan for over 2 1/2 years in eight different cities. I have taught Conversational Japanese at a local junior college for 4 semesters. I absolutely love teaching children and adults who really want to learn to speak this language!

Steve is a great instructor, especially for someone like me that is still wrapping my head around the basics of business Japanese. Although my speaking doesn't need much improvement, my kanji certainly does. Steve Personally created a binder for me and categorized it so I was able to sort easily my songs, vocabulary, kanji, and grammar because he noticed that, straight after work, I arrived with all my papers and one manila folder. I highly recommend him.
