My experience includes countless weddings, house parties, quinceaneras and numerous school and coporate events. I can also provide excellent lighting and smoke effects to your event! Three months post-wedding, and I can't help but sing praises for DJ Teach! From handling my last-minute requests with grace to patiently addressing my random music questions, Jacob truly made the entire process a breeze. The wedding day was a blast – DJ Teach arrived fully equipped, set up flawlessly, and had my guests laughing and dancing all night. He knew the vibe and hit it out of the ball park. The positive feedback is still pouring in, and discovering he was also a hit at my friends family’s wedding a week after only solidifies his talent. Jacob was incredible from the moment we hired him as the DJ for our 50 person wedding! He was very responsive to our inquiries, and he really got to know us as a couple and our vision for the wedding. His questionnaire was very detail oriented, we could tell he thinks of every part of the wedding to ensure the music matches our taste and the overall vibe. Jacob was also quick to communicate with our wedding planner and other vendors, they really became the dream team and everything flowed so smoothly! When we arrived to the venue, Jacob was already there and almost fully set up, which helped immensely with the overall wedding timeline. He coordinated with the planner to do all the announcements, so each one was perfectly aligned with the schedule of events. And from cocktail hour to the evening dancing, every song chosen was amazing! I kept getting guests walking up to me telling me how much they loved the music and DJ Teach! I was worried the dance floor would look empty with just 50 people in attendance, but he kept the dance floor alive! We loved having Jacob—he brought a great energy, great music, and great times!

Jacob Gile was our DJ for our wedding at the InterContinental, The Clement Hotel in Monterey on June 4, 2022. My Fiance, (now Husband) found him on the Thumbtack website after having much frustration elsewhere. We had an amazing experience throughout our wedding planning process with him. He was always on-time when he "met us" on Zoom/Google video calls. He was patient, kind, and funny. He was knowledgeable about various music genres, and what music to play at the different parts of the ceremony and reception. His wedding timeline of events went smoothy and helped us stay on point. There were many requests placed on him from our guests but he made sure that we were good with those requests first. He also was observant and noticed that we were not eating and made sure that we were taking care of so that we could have energy to "dance the night away!" His lighting was phenomenal and our guests complimented how nicely the music flowed. He played exactly the songs we had discussed in our meetings with him. And his fee was very affordable for all the services we were given. Jacob was the main reason our wedding was such a success. He was more than our DJ, he also became our Master of Ceremonies. We highly recommend him and we will always remember the fun and pure joy we had with him being our DJ and MC at our wedding of a lifetime. Thank you so much, Jacob! We just think the world of you!

My pricing is competitive and also allows for a quality job. I will be clear about all pricing during the initial consultation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
While working with a new customer, I want to ensure that the experience is tailored to exactly what they want. To do this I have initial consultations to discuss the schedule of events, lighting needs and also song choices. I also allow for an open line of communication to add to the event when needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worldwide experience in DJing whether is was a house party in Germany, a Wedding in Monterey or a school event on the Central Coast, I have had a lot of experience working in many different settings.
