- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is usually based job by job. There are too many factors to have a standard system.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mostly taught through on the job experience. Some formal training on building materials.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandfather used to own an upholstery shop and ever since I can remember I would be down there playing with tools. I slowly started to fix things first with my father and grandfather and then by myself. During and after high school I worked for a contractor for about 5 years. I became a firefighter for the past 10 years and during that time we were constantly fixing repairing and maintaining the fire station where I gained more knowledge. After I decided a career change was needed I began doing handyman work.
