FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I can do sliding scale . I can do in-person (safely socially-distanced), or online. Pricing can vary depending on distance, time, and other variables.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At first I love to get a sense of a client's past experience, goals, questions, and so on. I direct my intention in our work based on this information. If it is a lesson , I will aim to incorporate some mixture of technique and fundamentals, written and aural theory, grooves, vocabulary, learning and playing songs, music history, listening, recording, arranging, and production techniques, music business, learning and playing songs jamming, and general creative exploration. If I am working on songwriting or production with a client , I will listen to the client’s goals, and contribute to, guide, energize, or reinforce their work along the way to achieving the creation, process, or progress they are seeking. I believe that making music should feel great— so I prioritize enjoyment, playfulness, freedom, and exploration throughout the process of fulfillment of growth. But I gladly adjust my approach to when a client wishes to engage with a disciplined or efficient mentality.
