I had vocal training for years that left me mystified about how to achieve the sound I wanted. I could sing up to a certain note and then had no idea how to improve from there! No teacher had broken it down in a way I could understand. It was finally through studying the voice on my own I discovered the key to unlocking the “other part of my voice” it was a real “Ah ha!” moment! I thought “why couldn’t my teachers break this down for me?” I’m still not sure! But fast forward to today, as a teacher myself I’ve made it my mission to demystify your voice, to put you in control and get you the results you want, no generalities! Real results! It takes being patient, being brave and staying committed, but it’s an exciting and empowering journey! Finally understanding your voice and being able to sing the songs you’ve always dreamed of is THE BEST feeling! Working with Suzanne has been an incredible experience. She effortlessly blends a perfect mixture of absolute professionalism and deep knowledge of vocal techniques with explicit coaching and the upmost patience. I have explored areas of my voice I, frankly, didn't even know I existed, and have reached levels of vocal technique I didn't think I would ever be able to accomplish. Suzanne works unbelievably hard for her students, and her passion for her craft seeps into every facet of her work - From the actual lessons, to practice suggestions, vocal exercises, and the thought she puts into melding a program that fits a student perfectly. Suzanne is such a wonderful, kind, and talented instructor. She is an expert at what she does. Anytime I'm struggling with a technique or part of a song and I can't put a finger on what I'm doing wrong, she can instantly recognize what I need to correct and how to correct it, and she does it with such grace and kindness. If something doesn't make sense to me, she explains it in a different way until I understand. She's also infinitely patient and will go at whatever pace you need to go at. She's never pushed me to do anything I'm uncomfortable with, and if I feel nervous to try something, we break it down into smaller parts so I can go in with confidence. I can be myself, and I have such a fun time at my lessons and always look forward to them. I can't recommend her enough. I've improved so much in the 8 months I've been her student and I'm so grateful she's my vocal instructor!

My daughter loves her lessons with Suzanne. She used to be shy about singing, and now she sings opening all the time and has auditioned for 2 musicals and gotten parts in both of them at a local theatre. I highly recommend Suzanne as a voice coach.

Even though Ive taken voice lessons for many years, this was the first time things clicked for me! Suzanne helped me re-train bad habits that I had formed from straining my voice previously. I had thought that maybe singing strong or belting wasnt in the cards for me or my voice, but these lessons helped show me that it is attainable and learnable. Suzanne is such a gifted teacher - she helped get me out of my head with vocal exercises that helped me try new things and show me what my voice was capable of. I recommend her to everyone whole heartedly because it was such a life changing and inspiring experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we meet I ask them to choose a song that they’ve always wanted to sing better to start with, (it helps with nerves and getting the most out of the first lesson if you’re familiar with the material.) I ask the student about their background in singing and music and then their goals for their voice. I then go over some singing fundamentals (either teaching for the first time or reviewing for more experienced singers) before going through some warmups and exercises to help me understand their voice and needs. We finish by working on the song if their choice. From that point I can advise them on a plan of action to achieve their goals and correct and vocal issues I’m hearing. I try to pack as much as I can into that first lesson, so if we don’t work together again I can be satisfied I provided them with tools in that one lesson that can drastically improve their voice! My
