Introduction
As a Certified Professional Organizer with over 16 years of experience, I offer many services. I service the Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara County areas. I do not charge for travel time or pre-paid contract fees. I charge a flat hourly rate that includes many of the items that I need to organize the space/room that I am working on. I have a 4 hour minimum. This is to give me enough time to pull out the items that need to be organized; sorted; (especially for duplicates) give my client time to pull out the items that they no longer need; and finally to give me enough time to reorganize the items that are left. My average time per visit is between 4-7 hours. Every client is different and my time can depend upon how much time a client May take to go through the items. Some are more sentimental than others. We offer: 1. Organizing (sorting, decluttering, etc.) 2. Packing/Unpacking 3. Assisting and Steps to Downsizing 4. Decluttering/Organizing/Pre-Staging a Move 5. Assisting Clients with Special Needs (ADD/ADHD/Dementia/Alzheimer’s and more) 6. Organizing a Closet/Room/Home After the Loss of a Loved One(s) 7. Please ask if you do not see your project listed. Organizing/De-Cluttering Organizing and space planning is a specialty/passion. I have always enjoyed helping others and no two projects are ever the same. Are you overwhelmed with clutter? Paperwork? Have you lost a loved one and cannot bring yourself to sort through and organize their belongings? Do you have a family member who is surrounded by clutter, or do you just have a closet, room, garage or possibly your entire home that needs a bit of attention? I offer many different solutions to any of these projects and more... Downsizing? I can help you with the sorting process and the decisions regarding what to keep and what to part with. We pack according to the needs of your move. Is it a local move? Out-of-state/Cross-Country? (an out-of-state move requires additional detail.) We include the packing paper. room labeling tape and tape for the boxes (no extra charge.) The labeling of the rooms will provide a much quicker way to organize the boxes for unpacking at your next residence. Everything is clearly labeled (room labels are color-coded) and there is special labeling for anyboxes that you will need within the first 24-48 hours. (please see my photos.) Unpacking? Have you just moved into your home and do not have the time to unpack or where to begin? Do you want the added touch of a Professional Organizer? It is a pleasure to offer this and we still include organizing materials at no additional cost. We not only unpack and organize your items, but we maximize every bit of space that you have. When I complete the organization of a room or home, it can be a life-changing experience for my clients who have been dealing with clutter for many years. For those who are dealing with a lack of space, I am able to maximize that space In ways you never thought of and show you how to keep it that way. Special Needs? I have many adult clients with ADD/ADHD. Over the years I have come up with many different organizing solutions to help solve the problems of clutter that you are dealing with. I have raised a child with ADHD/Autism and have taken care of someone with Parkinson's/Alzheimer's. This is the reason that I can honestly tell a client that I can relate to what you and/or a caregiver is experiencing. I am here to help. For clients or caregivers who need assistance with Dementia/Alzheimer's, I also have helpful ways to relieve some of the issues you may be facing. So glad we hired A Time to be organized to help pack our home for a move. From beginning to end, communication was great. Laurie got back to me right away as soon as I made an inquiry and we were able to set everything up. I sent photos of everything that needed to be packed so that they knew how many boxes (roughly) were needed. Shauna came to our home to pack everything and did such a great job! She was cautious with our belongings and asked questions when needed. She’d also bring up things I hadn’t even thought of which was so appreciated. On top of all that, she was so pleasant and easy to talk to. I didn’t feel at all like I had a stranger in my home. Would definitely recommend and hire them again. Thank you!

Laurie and her assistant helped organize, edit and stage our 4,000 sq. ft. home in preparation for putting it on the market for sale. I would never have been able to tackle this job on my own. I look forward to working with her again when we move to our new property.

Laurie and Rhonda were fantastic to work with! Rhonda arrived on time and immediately got to work. She is organized and works very hard. Because of the work Rhonda did at my home, I felt a peace when all the junk was cleared and the closet was organized. On top of all that, she was so sweet and kind. I would definitely recommend A Time to be Organized.

Laura was amazing and utilized my own furniture. I could not afford to spend the money for an expensive stager and she de-cluttered my home and used the furniture that I had. I sold my home in 4 days with multiple bids! I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially as an organizer.

Laurie is the best professional certified organizer out there! She so sweet and caring and gets the job done without any hidden fees. She provides organizers at no additional cost. Doesn’t charge for mileage or assessment consultation. She organized my living room, cabinets and kitchen and we are very happy with her work! I had boxes of stuff I had not gone through in years and she help sort and organize everything which created a lot of more space for us to move around. She makes things very accessible. I wish I could hire her all the time. We definitely plan to hire her again in the future. For anyone looking to hire a professional organizer I highly recommend Laurie at A Time to be Organized! Don’t waste time with anyone else, trust me, I looked around and talked with others and saw a difference where others are out to make a profit. Given the lack of the storage space that you expect to see (coat closet, linen cabinets, etc.) it can sometimes be a challenge.
