FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will look at the scope of the mural, faux finishes or canvas commission to determine time, supplies and labor requirements, this will determine the cost of your artwork project. I will always look for ways to save you money or apply a discount if possible. The value of your custom work is clearly discussed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Client and I speak on the phone about project: Ideas, Size, Colors, Textures and Price. I can either drive to see the wall(s), sculptures or home in person or the client can text me photos ahead of time to get a clear idea of goal and/or create a layout gor the estimate. The process and deadline is also discussed before filling out a workform agreement and accepting a deposit. Texting and emailing is another way to communicate as well as direct calls to each other.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first started painting murals in 1982. I created large scale murals in acrylics and aerosol enamels bettering my styles and techniques. Throughout the years I began learning from various masters in the fields of wall treatments, faux finishes and clearcoating / weatherproofing. I now work in various studios like Warner Brothers, CBS, Universal set painting, Sign writing and Scenic arts. I paint murals for a living and love it.
