FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer individual sessions for $150 for one hour session in person or via zoom. I offer discounts based on frequency. I recommend that you begin with a package of 6 so that we can work together at least once a week in order for your to reap the benefits of your practice. You can always decide after our first session which way you would like to go. We can practice at your home or if you would like to rent a space to work, I have lots of studios I can work with to rent space. Studio rentals are usually between $20-$30. Cancellation less than 24 hour notice is charged a $25 fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want clients to have ownership of their practice. We will start with a conversation about what goals they are seeking. You may come to yoga for lots of different reasons; stress reduction, fitness, increase flexibility, lose weight, even curiosity! - it is good to start with 'why' so that we can build our work together. I have a questionnaire form for new clients that goes over your experience. This way we cater the practice to your specific needs while keeping you safe.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Awakened Heart Embodied Mind, an accredited Yoga school. It is a Hatha/Vinyasa focus that is also "trauma informed". I received my training from Hala Khouri (Off the Mat), Julian Walker, and Jay Fields. This training focused on the essential anatomy and alignment so that you can help students find poses safely in their bodies. Much of my training used props in effective ways and I integrate that into my sessions. I received my Yoga Fit teacher training at the studio I teach at- One Down Dog. This includes incorporating HIIT cardio, strength training with small weights and resistance bands, as well as Pilates style core work. I often integrate this into my private Sessions to help clients achieve their goals! I also worked as an apprentice with Peace It On Yoga in Santa Monica where I learned Yoga for Children and Therapeutic Yoga for children with special needs. I worked as a teacher there teaching after school yoga, in school yoga and family workshops. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Performance and Theatre for the Community. I study improv at Upright Citizens Brigade theatre in LA.
