Introduction
I was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and moved to the U.S. at 18. After studying ESL, I earned a degree in marketing and spent many years working in real estate and finance. When I first arrived in California, I learned English from scratch and am now fully fluent.
My work frequently takes me between Japan and the U.S., giving me a deep appreciation for both cultures. I’m incredibly grateful to have a strong understanding of both the Japanese and Western ways of life and to be able to celebrate and bridge the two.

We've learned more about Japanese from just our few lessons with Masaki then the months to years we've spent on individual study. He quickly recognizes where we need improvement and explains his concepts in a easy to understand way. Living in both the US and abroad in Japan has given him a better understanding on how to bridge the gap for foreigners to learn Japanese. We look forward to continuing our lessons.
