I spent approximately three (3) days reviewing potential hires who responded to my inquiry and budget. Quite a bit of talent out there, no surprise, many amazing talented artists in this city of angels. What made Adam stand out, is that he was so low key, genuine and his skill set spoke for itself. I saw his background was growing up with a darkroom, that translates to patience, knowledge and professionalism. I grew up with a darkroom on the side of my parents home, disguised as a tool shed. When you transition from that to digital, you just have such a strong platform of understanding how to capture the right light, the energy of the focal point, in this case, an actor. The results were truly terrific and I want anyone to know who reads this, that Adam is the guy to go with. We shot in natural light. Which can be more challenging. Upon his arrival, right on time, punctual, he set a tone of fun, relaxed, no-nonsense objectives in the clients best interest, he was funny, subtle and guided me with suggestions along the way. The guy is a photographer, not someone with a nice camera, its in his bloodline. To Adam, since its not "Dancing with the Stars" where I'd give a "10" and stand up and do a dance of enthusiasm. I give the highest star count possible on Thumbtack, a "5" & thank you Adam Southard. I was a little nervous and you immediately set a tone of confidence and professionalism with a personable touch of positive energy that was truly appreciated.
