FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing can always change to accommodate customers for a fair price. If it is something that I can finish very quickly I will not do the minimum one hour. I’ll give them a discounted price. Also if it is a certain amount of hours (ex. 8hrs) I don’t charge my hourly the whole time I knock off quite a bit for a day rate. I do charge a traveling fee for driving 10miles or further ($1.50/mile). If I have to leave to grab something from the hardware store for the job because it’s required, or customer asks to have something picked up from somewhere, etc. it is $25.00/hr. If it is a door, windows, furniture, etc I’m picking up or something similar to those items there is a delivery charge, which will be discussed with customer. Estimate fees should be attached to specific job under my profile.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My older brothers always did construction, so I kind of picked it up as well. I built houses out of high school and during college and then in the hotel industry for years but due to the pandemic a few years back, the majority of employees were laid off. My friend rang me a couple days later asking if I wanted to help him remodel a 4-plex he just bought. I said yes and ever since then I’ve continued this type of work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of customers different ages, ethnicities, demographic is always different obviously because we live in Los Angeles and it has a diverse amount of people. Everyone I’ve worked for has been very respectful and pleasant as well, which is always good.
