Introduction
I'm a guitarist and songwriter, passionate about music and its many facets. My aim is to guide students along their unique musical paths and provide structure and insight when needed. I also love teaching bass guitar, composition, and exploring music theory. My strengths are in jazz, blues, and fingerstyle but also teach classical and rock styles. I also have a number of songwriting and composition students in my studio.
I hold an undergraduate degree in the Jazz Performance from the University of North Texas and a Masters in Music from the University of Washington.

Taking lessons with Ronan and he is undoubtedly the best teacher Ive ever had. His knowledge of the instrument and his ability to explain things in a way that is fun and personal makes every lesson worthwhile. I took lessons with Ronan for 3 years in Seattle. We worked mostly on guitar technique, but would also do listening sessions and some basic music theory. As a mostly self-taught guitar player it helped me to work with him and tighten up certain things I was doing wrong or didn't fully understand. I've gotten a lot better at the guitar since working with him and am able to teach myself better now.
