Introduction
Hi! My name is Conor Malloy and I’d love to take you on as a drum student. I have over a decade of experience teaching music, from kids as young as 7, to conservatory level college students.
For the past 7 years, I’ve been a member of pop singer Remi Wolf’s band. As her drummer and music director, I have toured across the US, Europe, Australia and Asia, performed at music festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo, and appeared on TV and radio shows like The Tonight Show and NPR’s Tiny Desk.
Teaching to me is a dual passion with performing. I love educating and sharing a love of music with my students. I take a wholistic approach which values musicality and creativity along with solid technique and groove.
Whether you are just starting out or are an advanced player, I’d love to help you level up and achieve your goals. I offer zoom lessons or in person at my studio in Pasadena. I look forward to meeting you!

Not only is he a talented drummer, but Conor Malloy is an incredible teacher with an extensive knowledge of drumming and its history. I enjoy that he is focused and prepared for lessons, making the time feel maximized to its fullest. Learning from Conor has helped me, as a musician, to appreciate and distinguish the different rhythmic and stylistic qualities of drumming in various genres.

If you truly want to get the bang for your buck, having Conor as your drum teacher is ultimately the way to go. Unlike the drum teacher I had before, Conor's approach is individualized and catered to the needs of each student. With my first lesson, Conor was already teaching me both things that I wanted to learn and what would make me a better drummer.
You will leave each lesson asking yourself why you didn't start lessons with Conor earlier -- I know I did! Each lesson is packed with useful information and you truly leave each lesson knowing that you have improved as a drummer.

Conor is the the highest quality instructor you will find. He is a ridiculously talented drummer with a vast knowledge of drum set technique, history, and various styles. Many people can play the drums or teach others how to do so, but Conor possesses a far deeper understanding of what it actually means to be a drummer and a timekeeper. Most importantly, Conor is able to pass that understanding on to others. He teaches with with reassuring encouragement and saint-like patience, which results in efficient and effective learning. He's highly invested in the process and profoundly cares about every student. There is no teacher quite like Conor, but you'd never guess it by his easy-going, modest presence. Conor is respected and beloved by numerous high profile musicians, his peers, and his students past and present. I am very grateful for my time studying with Conor and highly recommend him to any future drum students.
