I am a retired university professor with 50 years of experience teaching as well as researching and publishing scholarly essays in academic journals. During my career, I have helped thousands of students with their academic essays, including masters theses and dissertations. My professional fields of expertise are English, world literature, world history, philosophy, and psychology. My standard fee is $45/hour for writing, editing, and proofreading services. That fee is negotiable, depending on the nature of the project and the financial situation of the client.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an initial contact from the customer, I will try to respond within a few hours. No fee will be charged until we agree on terms for compensation and actually begin work on the project. I prefer to work together online, but I am available for personal meeting within 30 miles of my home in Long Beach, CA.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and nearly 50 years of experience teaching, researching, writing, and editing academic books, articles, conference papers, theses, and dissertations. In addition to editing academic projects, I have substantial experience ghostwriting, editing, and proofreading fiction, autobiographies, poetry, non-literary essays, and other kinds of books.
