About
My name is Matt and I’ve been a tennis coach in Irvine for more than 12 years. I train beginners from learning technical basics to advanced players looking for match play strategy and fine tuning their game. From my years of experience as a coach working at tennis clinics to private coaching, I’ve learned to work with players at any age and at any level. Whether you’re looking to improve your game at a recreational level to improving your competitive ability, I help you reach your goals!
I am also a physical therapist who integrates clinical knowledge into my training. I instruct techniques with the proper biomechanical knowledge as well as provide conditioning for the optimal tennis body and injury prevention. I am a firm believer in not only helping my students from a technical standpoint, but from a physical and psychological approach to improve players as a whole.
I instruct students in the Irvine area and have my own courts where I teach. Please message me through my phone number if you are interested!

My husband and I have been taking tennis lessons for the past month and have really enjoyed it. He has great experience, very knowledgeable about various techniques and styles and constantly customizes things to fit us to get the best results! He’s also given us great recommendations on shoes and rackets which have made a noticeable difference too! Would highly recommend!

Matt’s been such a great tennis coach! He’s patient, encouraging, and explains techniques in a clear and easy-to-understand way. He takes the time to correct small details, which makes a big difference in improving form and consistency. His lessons are well-structured but also fun, and I’ve seen real progress in my game since training with him. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their tennis skills, whether beginner or advanced.
