FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jerry was fortunate to grow up in Mexico, where he was immersed in the world of agriculture from a young age. His parents worked tirelessly in the fields, cultivating crops and tending to the land. From seeding to harvesting, Jerry eagerly lent a hand, absorbing invaluable lessons in hard work, dedication, and the intricacies of nurturing plant life. This upbringing instilled in him a deep appreciation for the land and its bounty, laying the foundation for his lifelong passion for gardening. When he moved to California, Jerry continued to hone his skills, drawing on the rich knowledge passed down from generations past. Today, as the co-founder of G&G Garden Service, Jerry is proud to blend the traditional wisdom of his upbringing with modern techniques to provide top-quality landscaping services. From humble beginnings helping his parents in the fields to running a successful family-owned business, Jerry’s journey has been guided by a love for the land and a commitment to excellence.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We mostly work with residential but we also have a few apartment buildings and commercial customers.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Often times we have found that customers tend to ask for a once a month service or "as needed" because they think this is most economic. However, it is actually more expensive. The reason why is because the longer you wait to do the yard, the taller the grass and dirtier it becomes causing labor cost to increase. The grass grows past the point where a lawnmower can no longer do the job and additional tools and time are needed to bring the yard back to a manageable state. This is when most companies charge a steep "clean up" fee. We recommend scheduling a bi-weekly or weekly service to help prevent an unruly yard and hefty clean up fees.
