When we perform our cleaning services, we do a free inspection and estimate where we take detailed videos on every accessible part of your AC, showing if it is in fact dirty or clean in the first place! Doing this we have many documented cases of improperly maintenanced ACs, with customers having no idea! Along the way we like to teach you about the parts of your AC, what they do, and what to look out for in the future. Most people have never seen what’s happening in the mystery world of their AC, even though it’s really pretty simple! We are also the inventors of the Zoog Zapper Automatic AC Drain Line Sanitizer. Never have a drain line clog again! We specialize in clogged AC drain lines and overflowing or leaky drain pans. However we also are available to do filter swaps, coil cleanings (on horizontal units), UV light installations, capacitor changes, exterior unit washes, and duct/vent cleaning. Basically anything that will improve the quality of the air you breathe, increase efficiency of your AC, and prevent clogs and floods by maintaining a sanitized drain line. I own a retail space that I spend most of my day in, and couldn’t remember the last time I had my AC fully cleaned. I found Zoog Zapper on here, and I liked the pictures they had from previous cleanings. Alex came to my office a couple minutes early and was very polite, wearing a nice uniform, and very friendly. We talked as he took notes about where my AC was, where vents were, how often we change filters, things like that. My AC is on the roof so he went up his ladder up while I continued working. He came back with a bunch of photos and videos of my AC - inside, outside, the drain, etc. It was pretty shocking to see inside, no AC techs had ever shown us pictures of what’s happening up there. It was pretty clearly filthy. Dark coils and ducts with dirt caked inside it looked like. I hate to think how long I was breathing that air. Alex wrote me up what I think was an extremely fair quote, and after seeing the pictures and videos, it was an easy decision to have him perform the cleaning. He went back up to the roof for a couple of hours, sometimes having me shut off the AC, and then in a bit turn it back on. When he returned, he had more pictures and videos, but this time with shiny coils, clean ducts, and a fixed up drain line (which he didn’t charge me for fixing - thanks!). He also had a shot showing that the roof area was cleaned up before he left also, which was nice since I can’t get up there myself :) After everything, I paid, he left a couple brochures, and a little later he sent me all the pictures and videos. I didn’t really need them, knowing my AC was clean was good enough, but still a nice touch. Overall I was extremely satisfied. It was pretty refreshing to see a clean and polite HVAC worker for a change, and getting evidence of the work getting done was very nice to have.

I bought a pizza restaurant a few months ago. We shut off our AC before we left one night and water poured through our ceiling into the dining area. Not a small amount. Alex is a friend and I know he does AC work, so I called him first to have him check out what was up. It was 10 at night. But he understood I was kind of freaking out, said he would grab his tools, and came right over. He showed me everything happening inside the AC. No filter, coils covered in what looked like moldy fluff, drain line full of slime and clogged, drain pan full of debris. I was under the impression that I bought the place with an AC that was serviced normally, but it really looked like years of neglect. Alex vacuumed the drain line and came back the next day to do a full cleaning. He marked us down for coil cleaning interior and exterior, filter replacement, and a drain line flush. The drain line was built very wrong, and it got fixed for free. Again, he’s a friend, but finally getting to see his work first-hand was very impressive. Quick and efficient and figured out my issue super fast. Been running the AC a lot more this summer and it’s been great!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My house call, quote, and inspection + videos are free. Every service cost varies based on difficulty. Like cars, every AC is different. My prices are always negotiable, and if I simply do a drain line flush it could cost $80-$150. However if a customer requests coil cleaning, vent cleaning, drain line flush, filter replacement, UV light install, and drain line re-piping, then I bundle these services and always apply fair discounts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to understand their concerns, whether it be air quality, electrical efficiency, or simply routine cleaning. From there I go through a large list of items to understand the exact setup of the AC, since almost every AC - ducting, drainage, etc. is different for every home. After this, I inspect and video the inside and outside of the AC, show the customer what’s happening with their unit, and give a quote for cleaning, unless they’re lucky and it’s clean already! Which is rare, but happens
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We noticed the common problem of clogged drain lines, invented the Zoog Zapper to fix it, and realized that people have not been getting proper maintenance and cleanings of their ACs. It mostly started by just teaching friends about their ACs and their drains.
