FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discover their goals and plan meticulously to help them reach their objective. Develop solid fundamentals while having fun, we only get better when we enjoy what we are doing! We look to develop great technique as well as be able to APPLY them in a safe environment. Get a solid workout while also learning self-defense techniques. I know how to spar CORRECTLY, a lot of beginners (and kids) love sparring with me because they know I will not hurt them, they can freely practice their techniques without being traumatized, not every one is training to be a fighter, so hard sparring is NOT necessary, but they SHOULD know how fight should they need to. Helping others defend themselves is something that is extremely important to me.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am striving for greatness in all aspects of martial arts, and that includes teaching it. When I taught group classes I've found that I want to give everybody a great amount of attention to ensure that they are all progressing. It has proven very difficult to do but with private sessions, I feel that I can give all of myself to help them reach their potential. I love being able to track progress and plan each session according to the individual, I feel this also benefits me as I am learning more and more about my craft, what works and doesn't work, etc. I am constantly improving myself to be the best that I can be for my students, but my students have also helped me improve by giving me their best every time I get a chance to work with them.
