Margie D. says, "Victor is very personable. He tries to explain what he is doing. My first appointment was for the purpose of repairing a leaking faucet in the master bathroom, caulk a toilet,
and install a new switch that was a combo light/fan dimmer switch.
The appointment was for 1 PM. He called me at 1:30 and said another job was longer than he thought. He said he would arrive between 2:15 pm and 2:30 PM. He arrived at 3:07 PM. I thought okay things do happen.
He looked at the sink and said he needed to go to get caulking for the toilet and new shutoff valves for the sink. I thought okay about the valves, but I had already told him about the caulking.. Getting these supplies ate up almost an hour at $70 an hour. I had already purchased the light/ fan dimmer switch. He was good at explaining what he did. Caulking the toilet, fixing the leâk, and installing new fan/light switch took three hours. The cost was $225.
Then later that evening I discovered that the sink was still leaking at the spigot and I called him the next morning to refix the faucet. He did cordially agree to come back that afternoon after 3:30!PM to work on the faucet. He arrived at 4:30 and did call me before to let me know that he was still finishing a job. He said he didn’t realize the day before that the sink was leaking at the faucet level as well.
He had to go get new cartridges for the faucet which took a good 50 minutes. They were each $15 which was cheaper than buying a whole new faucet. The total cost for this repair was over the two days was $358.00. The first day was $225 and second day $133.00.
This seems somewhat pricey to repair leaking sink, caulk a toilet, and install a new light switch. I guess some time got eaten up purchasing plumbing parts which a plumber might have had on hand in his truck and that caused a price increase. This is why I gave Andalon 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
Victor is very pleasant to work with."See more
