For my wedding day, I wanted a makeup look that would feel timeless yet still make me look like myself—just the best version of me. After months of researching different artists, I finally decided on a makeup artist who came highly recommended, and I’m so glad I did. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:
Before the big day, we had a trial session where I was able to discuss my vision with my artist. I wanted a soft look that was natural but had just the right amount of glam. We decided on a dewy base with a soft smoky eye and a nude lip. She listened to my preferences, took notes, and even provided some great suggestions based on my skin tone and the overall vibe of my wedding.
On the wedding day, my makeup artist arrived early, which was a huge relief. I was already feeling nervous, but she made the process relaxing and fun. She used a combination of high-quality products to create a flawless base that lasted all day (and night). The lashes were voluminous but not too dramatic—just enough to enhance my natural lashes and open up my eyes.
I couldn’t have been happier with the final result. I looked exactly how I hoped—elegant, fresh, and like myself. The makeup held up incredibly well throughout the ceremony, photos, and reception. Even after hours of dancing and the emotional rollercoaster of the day, I didn’t have to worry about touch-ups.

Ruchi did my makeup, hair, and saree + lehenga draping for my traditional South Indian ceremony and my Indian reception. Two completely different events and looks. She came bright and early at 4 am for the temple ceremony. I don't wear makeup often, and so I was most nervous about it looking too much. Ruchi was so kind and sweet; she completely understood how I felt, and she made me feel very comfortable and followed all my preferences. She is extremely experienced and was expertly able to balance me wanting to be natural, with making me look bridal. I felt so happy and stress-free on my wedding and reception days, and got so many compliments! The makeup and hair both lasted beautifully for hours.
