This company lived up to their exceptional status. Garrett came out and did a very thorough inspection of our new build and we finally felt someone was in our corner to hold the builder accountable before our warranty was up. The report was lengthy but very detailed and much appreciated. I would highly recommend this company to any one looking for a quality and friendly home inspector.

We needed an asbestos test done with a pretty quick turn around when a contractor fell through for our popcorn ceiling removal and the new contractor required the test before removal. To keep back to back projects on time that we had lined up before our move in date, we needed the test done pretty quickly. The quote they gave us to do the test was well under what contractors told us would be an expected range. The receptionist was so helpful when I called and got the guy to come out and do the test the next day and we were able to do a rush order on the lab to get results fast. We so appreciated them coming through in a pinch!

Great experience with Cal-West Property Inspections! First, scheduling a time was quick and easy, Garrett and his team are super responsive and understanding. They also answered any questions I had and explained everything for a first time new home construction buyer like me. Then, Adam came right on time and did his thing, finding so many things that our walk-through with the building inspector did not find. Why would I hire Cal-West for an inspection for a new build? And one that comes with its own inspector? I was not 100% sure at first, but now I definitely know. When doing the walk-through, there's so many things to look at that having a third set of eyes is super helpful. For example, we missed a part of the kitchen floor covering lifting! Luckily, it was part of our report and now we are working with the builder to get the list of minor repairs, recommended improvements and major concerns fixed before our closing (pretty long list, great work, Adam!). One last thing, as someone who creates reports at work, the report created by Cal-West is beautiful to me, everything is laid out in a detailed but clean manner, and they even have an online portal that breaks the report out as well. As a millennial, being able to communicate mostly through texting instead of a million phone calls is great as well. So, highly recommend these folks, whether you are getting a new build construction or an older home.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Don't go with the cheapest home inspector, this is an important financial decision and you don't want to be stuck with a money pit. Our inspections are very thorough with easy to read modern reports. We include a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We also perform for free a Thermal Imaging Scan, Carbon Monoxide Level Test and a Combustible Gas Leak Test with every one of our inspections. If you or your real estate agent aren't completely satisfied with the inspection or the report I will refund 100% of your payment. Military and Senior Discounts Available
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you approve the price and we schedule the date and time for the inspection you will receive an email with a link to an inspection agreement to sign and a link to pay for the inspection with a credit card. You can pay before the day of the inspection online at the link sent with the confirmation email or on site at the end of the inspection with cash check or credit card. We are looking forward to working with you!
