Introduction
I offer Spanish classes for children and adults, as well as group or one-on-one. Mi Casita offers Spanish immersion classes where everybody can find a very relaxing environment, so you can feel comfortable to learn and express yourself. The programs used are highly geared towards meeting children's educational needs and helping adults to achieve their own linguistic goals. A high level of professionalism, well-developed teaching techniques, and instruction of practical learning concepts using various materials are considered very important to me. The programs consist of the following: - Spanish immersion lessons - Diverse activities, vocabulary building, repetition and pronunciation, games, and much more - Various groups, depending on age and level of knowledge - Instruction from native speaker Who We Are I'm a native Spanish speaker from Mexico with several years of experience teaching all ages in the north county area of San Diego, California. I love to teach Spanish and immerse my students in the Hispanic culture, where each one of them can feel as if they were in a Spanish-speaking country while being in San Diego. Because I know the importance of a relaxing environment, at Mi Casita, my students feel as if they were at their own home. They learn and practice Spanish with various activities. I take care of their developmental skills ranging from vocabulary to pronunciation and grammar, all developed through very casual conversation. I also include recreational activities so that you'll find the class to be as if you were having fun with friends. You're welcome to join us!!

Sara has worked with our two girls (ages 8 and 6) for the past two years. Sara is completely professional, always punctual, has very high standards and still makes the learning enjoyable for our children. We have noticed concrete progress in their ability to speak and understand Spanish. We give Sara our absolutely highest recommendation.

Sara is the best! She really connects with our boys and is a loving, caring and very serious teacher. She is creative, passionate and engages them in the language. Being a native speaker and a dedicated teacher are both important, but best of all Sara adores working with kids and it shows. We are so happy to have found her!

Over the last ten years I have had three different Spanish teachers but Sara is by far the best. She is extremely punctual and the weekly lesson is always something I look forward to. Unlike my other teachers, she lets me do most of the speaking even though I stumble through the conversation which must be very exasperating for her, but this is the only way to make progress!

My 6 and 9 year old daughters both say that Sara is awesome! She is very creative in her lessons, and plays games in Spanish inside and outside, which keeps it fun. Both girls are making great progress in Spanish. We highly recommend her.

FAQs

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my youngest students (5 years old) who seemed so distracted and uninterested has shown so much development in his knowledge. Now he also gets excited in the class to use his skills and talk in Spanish. He inquires about more words and ways to say things. That is proof to me that we are able to learn a language even when it seems so difficult, as long as we get immersed in it.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It's admirable to see my students' effort and improvement of their Spanish knowledge. In general I very much admire a person who speaks a second language regardless of their level of perfection. It also feels very rewarding seeing each accomplishment of my students. I share with them their success and enjoyment of their learning experience.
