- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At $150 per hour for in-home, in-person and $125 per hour for remote or virtual training, my services are for those people who care about their health and fitness and are serious about getting results. A one-hour consulting session is available for $75; we can meet live or virtually to discuss your current program and whether your needs will be met by my services. If you decide that you want to hire me, that will be applied to your deposit. There is a $450 deposit (to cover the price of 3 sessions) and you can either pay as you go via Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay or cash, or I submit an invoice at the end of each month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule a one-hour meeting ($75) to discuss your needs, goals and review your current program to make sure you are working to meet your objectives. If you decide my services are for you, you will receive a Google form to provide specific, relevant information that will be used for designing your workout program. We can meet at your home to use your equipment, a local park or remotely via video conferencing (remote is $125/session).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from PennWest California. Completion of a functional biomechanics post-graduate fellowship from the Gray Institute of Functional Transformation Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise NOTE: For 5 years I worked directly for the American Council on Exercise where I wrote their curricula along with continuing education courses for fitness professionals. In addition, I have taught for and helped write the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal training certification; I am one of a small cohort of individuals who has created content for the 2 largest personal training certifications. As an international speaker, I have traveled to teach workshops and speak at conferences and have worked in 14 countries to help educate personal trainers. As a media spokesperson for the American Council on Exercise for more than 12 years, my advice has been featured in publications from the Atlantic to the Wall Street Journal and I have done numerous TV interviews both in the US and abroad.
