What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge based off the look the customer is looking for. Some looks take more work/time than others, so I charge based off of that.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer I have them bring me their own foundation and concealer(s). Everyones skin cannot partake in the same type of products due to our different skin types and skin colors. I also sometimes request for their own false lashes. Only because everyone is not comfortable with certain extensions.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing makeup because of my hand in art class. I've always loved arts and crafts and excelled in the class, and weren't quite sure how to continue my passion for art. One day I was spontaneous before work, and started gaining a bunch of compliments by the glitter look I decided to do. Every since, I've been a self-taught MUA.
