Hi, I'm piano teacher Allen Wang. I graduated from San Jose State University with B.A. in Music Composition in 2002 and got my Music Industry Study certificate in 2004 from Diablo Valley College. I've been teaching piano since 2002 in the style of Classical, Pop, Easy Listening, and Contemporary Christian Music. I customize piano lesson tailor to each student's need and goal. As a Boomer, age 72, I was very apprehensive about pursuing my childhood dream of playing Piano, but Allen’s encouraging, warm, easy-going personality put at ease. We spent some time getting to know each other after which I was so relieved that he had no intention of placing me on a rigorous old-school style of learning. He asked what type of music most interested me & my favorite song as he listened and observed me as I shared this tune with him & then told me that we would start by me learning that particular tune. Needless to say, he peaked my interest & brightened my outlook so, I am looking forward to my first lesson. Thank you, Allen, for adding a little sunshine to my day. #Bethany🙏🏽🌈💕🎶💃🏽🥰

Allan is attentive to my learning needs. His expectations are in line with my level of expertise. I'm comfortable asking questions and am not ridiculed when I make an error. His comments are worded kindly and positive when correcting is needed. I would recommend him for anyone having a desire to learn to play the piano. I have tried other instructors and think I have found a good fit for my needs.
