Introduction

I work on a 'train the trainer' mentality, so that I give you the tools to continue to work with your dog in the future. I also believe in getting your dog right into the situations where you are having trouble. For example if your dog is aggressive toward dogs, we will meet in a place where we encounter lots of dogs. I do not feel that avoiding a situation will provide any benefit to you. I work with all breeds, all ages and all problems, but I also *specialize* in dogs with fear, anxiety and fear aggression. I work with many clients who have tried other trainers but have not had success. I love dogs and I love helping to build the human animal bond. Having a dog should be a wonderful experience, not a stressful one!

I had 3 sessions with Beth for my 4/5 month old pup. Before meeting with Beth I was embarrassed to take my little guy on walks. The constant barking and growling at my neighbors was beginning to be too much for me to handle. The difference after working with Beth has been night and day. My little pup loves approaching people on walks now and pays no mind to them all while being responsive to my commands. I have learned a lot about my puppy since training with Beth and I recommend her to anybody who needs help with their puppy/dog training! We are so grateful for Beth and for her help.

Because of Beth’s highly rated reviews we selected her to help us with a couple of issues. First , we were adopting a new dog and wanted to get her integrated into our home with our current Jack Russell/Corgi mix. Beth began our training with some basic commands What we liked is that Beth actually trained us to train our dogs. After the first lesson we made great progress with Trixie our new dog. Our second issue was to help us deal with the aggression of our older JR/Corgi toward other dogs. We found out that by avoiding other dogs on our walks we were making the problem worse. After one lesson Cyrus made amazing progress. With basic tools in hand and regular training sessions with our dogs, we feel very confident that we will continue to achieve our goal of well behaved and happy dogs. If your looking for someone to help you with basic training for your dog or understanding better your dogs behavior, we highly recommend Beth. Barry and Rhonda

I highly recommend Beth for your dog training needs. I had already gone through two trainers with my reactive dog and she is by far the best that helped me so much! She was always very knowledgable about how to go about a really difficult situation with my reactive dog. She helped me grow to be a more confident dog mother so I could be better for my puppy. She helped with anxiety, manners, jumping, leash walking, and reactivity. All in all she was incredible and covered every single issue I had with my puppy and it has been such a joy and weight lifted off my shoulders to see myself and my dog grow to be more confident! I don’t lock you into a contract but do have a 2 session minimum
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free online phone consultation to better discuss your needs. If you are looking for dog board and train in San Diego in addition to a phone consult there will be a personal meet and greet to establish your needs.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I left a corporate career many years ago to follow my passion, working with dogs.
