- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every estimate is free and written. The price depends on deck size, height and access, the material you choose (pressure-treated, redwood, composite or hardwood), railing type, stairs, and whether the existing framing can stay. The proposal lists each part separately: demolition and haul-away, framing, decking, railing, stairs, so you can compare options line by line.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Send us a few photos of your deck and your ZIP code. 2. We talk through what you want: new deck, full replacement or repair, and which materials you are considering. 3. I come out for the on-site estimate, measure, and check the framing underneath. 4. You get a detailed written proposal, usually within a couple of days. 5. Once you approve it, we order materials, schedule the build and keep you updated until the final walkthrough.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an engineering degree with honors. I even studied in graduate school, but instead of defending my PhD thesis, I went into business.
