FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with the broad strokes: when and where the event is taking place, for how long of a duration, the nature of the event itself, approximate number of guests, and the client's budget. I have a range of sound equipment that can accommodate just about any space and scenario, so I'll determine what to use based on the needs for the event. We can discuss what purpose the music should serve, what style(s) of music should be played, etc. I have a vast repertoire covering many styles and eras, and I can easily learn new songs upon request. I offer to share my full song list; sometimes a client will hand pick exactly what they want to hear, other times they give me more general guidelines. Either way works totally fine for me. I'm comfortable providing background ambience or being in the forefront - my primary goal is to have my client's mind totally at ease before the event, and beyond satisfied at its conclusion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a degree in guitar performance and songwriting. Before that, I took lessons for piano, guitar, and voice at various points through my childhood. A passionate musician's training and education never ends, and I'm always striving to learn more and improve my craft.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been happiest when I'm making music, and I knew from at least my teenage years that I wanted music to be my life's work. I'm incredibly fortunate and grateful to have made my passion into my career.
