FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
People from all walks of life become inordinately preoccupied by conflicts: in their workplace, at home, with their spouse or children, in education, small claims, wills, trusts, etc. At Magnum Mediation, we provide an inexpensive, fully professional, confidential, service where the price takes into account with whom we are working. But one thing is certain: we charge far less than attorneys while creating an environment in which we help you create your own legally binding agreement while we remain neutral throughout. You will have a voice and you will be heard. That is priceless.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Both sides are entitled to a free 30-minute consultation. Then, when you agree to participate in the mediation process, which is fully online, you are asked to sign the Agreement to Mediate form which includes a section on the confidentiality of the process. When we receive those forms back and signed, we are ready to begin. You are sent a description of what you will need, what to expect, and a summary of the rules governing the process. During the mediation, we might all meet in one virtual room. Or, if the conflict is severe, we would begin by meeting in separate "breakout" or "caucus" rooms until we come to an agreement that all sides would sign and that agreement would be legally binding.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was certified by the National Association of Certified Mediators. The organizations that trained me were The California Lawyers for the Arts in the Sacramento Superior Court, The Center for Conflict Resolution of Los Angeles, The Riverside Community Action Partnership, and Southern California Family Mediation. The Southern California Mediation Association, of which I am a member, has ongoing webinars and professional development groups in which I participate.
