Introduction

My name is Jonathan Craig. I am a full-time musician from Chula Vista, California. I have been playing piano (for 30 years and I am classically trained), and I play drums and I love to play them! Very fun. I also have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from California Baptist University in Riverside in 2013. I am an editor for anyone who needs help with writing in general! I also work for my dad's nonprofit organization as an editor!! Very much fun. I work within the San Diego and Chula Vista area as a musician. I am a professional drummer and I'm open to many styles including rock, jazz, punk rock, rock and roll, blues, country, dance, hard rock, metal, pop, disco, post-punk, alternative, post-rock, and electronic. I am a classically trained pianist as well. I have even delved into playing guitar. I love playing my Strat! I mainly play lead but I can play rhythm. Enjoy! -Jonathan Craig

Not only was he on time and responded quickly to my initial messages, the quality of his work and character are second to none. He was professional and was incredibly thorough in his tuning of my upright piano. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.

Jonathan is a wonderful tutor. He does a great job explaining concepts in an understandable way with a kind disposition. He is very patient and is quick to pick up and return phone calls for scheduling. I’d recommend him for any age level as he is highly adaptable.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75/hr. for gigs and shows. I love playing shows with everybody!!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet and greet, set up, jam and recording, shows, break down. I use sticks (I love Vic Firth) and brushes as well. I have a Pearl kit with Zildjian symbols and I have a Meinl cajon that works great too!! I can use my set with a band, but it's kind of hard to lug around; I would prefer to play someone else's kit unless it's with the cajon that I can carry around easily.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Drummed in many bands and I am in a couple of bands currently. I've also played in many worship bands in the past. I can read drum music but I would rather hear a recording or read off of a chord chart. I have a B.A. in History from California Baptist University in Riverside in 2013.
