Introduction

I am currently accepting students forWinter-Spring 2024. I am now adding an ONLINE component. In addition to a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences, plus a a degree of Master of Arts in Education, I also have earned a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a supplementary certificate as a Language Develpment Specialist for children with English as a second language, and a Professional Certificate in the Education of the Gifted and Talented. I have taught 36 years with elementary age students both in public schools and private math tutoring. When the students experience 'the light coming on,' the look in their eyes is worth its weigh in gold. And when they exclaim "I Get It" this is etched in my memory forever. Diane tutored my daughter and son from 4th -8th grades for math. She is creatively able to maintain children's attention while planting useful strategies that can be used for both learning new concepts and test taking skills. I have recommended her to friends and acquaintances whose children have also benefited from her commitment to children. What a difference it makes for the entire family when your child finally feels a sense of accomplishment and pride upon learning all of the many new math concepts! Both of my children improved in their understanding of math and how to successfully take tests after working with Diane. She was one of the best investments my husband I and have ever made!!!

$25 for 40 minutes on line Gr. 4-7 $20 for 30 minutes on line Gr. 3
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a 20 minute "Meet and Greet" where I preview the main 5 parts of math topics for all grade levels. I also scan the student's homework to see where they are on their grade level schedule and present a fun math game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A., M.A. Supplemental Certificate for Second Language Learners, Supplementary Certificate for G.A.T.E. Common Core Methods, Algebra review classe, 22 years of classroom experience and 12 years of Math Enrichment tutoring.
