First and foremost, congratulations on your engagement!! If you're looking for an experienced officiant/celebrant to create a ceremony uniquely your own, you've found "your person"! I got my start over 10 years ago when I was sworn in as a Deputy Marriage Commissioner for Alameda County, then I went out on my own because civil ceremonies are...well... let's just say they are cookie-cutter. I wanted to work with clients to create a ceremony that they'd enjoy and remember for years to come so I went out on my own. I like to start by scheduling a "get acquainted" call via Google Meets or Zoom call so you can decide if I'm a good fit for you both. I suggest you interview more than one officiant. If we're a "go", we'll sign an agreement, a 50% deposit will be made and your date will then go 'in ink' on my calendar. Happy to share the remaining details during our call. My pricing starts at $300, add-ons depend on what other services you may need ("day of" coordination/photography for INTIMATE sized weddings only), also commute traffic considerations, whether or not you want me there for rehearsal, mileage, tolls and parking, if applicable. They made our special day extra special. Saundra is an outstanding wedding officiant. We hired her with 3-weeks notice before our wedding which was a small intimate affair in our backyard with just the two of us, our children, one other couple and our dog. Through questionnaires and suggestions from her vast expertise, Saundra guided us to make the ceremony a very personal, meaningful and joyous event. We paid for the officiate plus photography package and are delighted by the results. Joe’s photographs are beautiful, taken with an artistic eye, and much better than you can get from attendees’ cell phone pictures. Plus, we wanted our attendees to enjoy the event, not photograph it. They were very well prepared and professional; you do not need to worry. They are a great team and lovely people. Amazing experience!

Saundra went above and beyond to make sure that out wedding experience was the very best it could be! And even though we had some family running an hour late, she was very gracious and waited for them to arrive before starting the ceremony. She led the ceremony professionally, and made it an experience we could all remember.

Planning a Zoom wedding during a pandemic was challenging, but we were determined. After interviewing five different officiants on video calls, we clicked with Saundra immediately. This was not a sales pitch, quite the opposite. She was warm, welcoming, and asked us about our story and about our background, which immediately put us at ease. Once we chose to work with Saundra, she continued to come through for us. Always proactive and on time, always listening. We went through a few different drafts of our ceremony, working together to make it personal and memorable. Saundra was always open to our ideas, and she very tactfully made suggestions that were in our best interest. She was also very knowledgeable about getting our license, which was no easy feat while our county's courthouse was shut down. Saundra absolutely inspired confidence, trust, and care. On the day of our ceremony, Sandra calmly directed everything, which was fortunate, as we were having nerve wracking technology issues with our Zoom call! She expertly gave us cues under her breath, like to face the camera, etc. It's funny, when I think back, I was excited and not paying attention to those details. Thank goodness Saundra is such a pro. You can see from the pictures below, she made us look good, and we had a great time, too! It is possible to create a special, memorable, and moving ceremony with an online wedding, and it's all about who you choose to work with. We are thrilled to have found Saundra for our special day, and our time together will be revisited again and again in our pictures, our videos, and our stories.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Though my pricing starts at $300, the final quote will factor in whether you'd like me at rehearsal, commute time and mileage to/from your wedding venue and bridge toll/parking if applicable. To provide you an accurate quote means I need to know: your wedding date (to check for availability), time of your ceremony (even if just an estimate), city where your wedding will be held. As a military brat (USAF), I offer a military discount as a "thank you" to active duty personnel and to teachers too.
