FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am competitive and would love to earn your business. If you receive a better price bid with the same scope of work, I would appreciate being given a chance to meet, and/or beat the price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before taking on a new client I I set an appointment to meet and see what kind of project they want done, whether the project is within my abilities to complete, what assistance I may need, and a timeline for desired start and completion. After I go over the plan, I make sure that I have a good understanding of what is needed to ensure, at the completion of my work, the client will be pleased.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
At a very young age I spent a good deal of time with my grandfather. He was a salaried bank executive who worked as a carpenter on the side. I admired the man a great deal. Enough to want to “be just like him when I grow up”. After having my own job in the corporate sector, I found myself feeling unfulfilled. I have always liked working with my hands and I worked in the trades throughout my time in school, done volunteer work with Habitat through my church, and I never had a weekend when I wasn’t doing a project for a friend or neighbor who would tell me the same thing “You should start a business!” So, one day I decided to try. I’ve been enjoying going to work since that day.
