Your Personalized Piano Journey: Let’s begin with a session on me, where we’ll talk about your goals, musical background, and what inspires you. Together, we’ll map out a journal to guide your growth with self-reflection, exploration, and steady progress. For $225 a month, you’ll get weekly, 1-hour lessons with flexibility to reschedule if needed, along with weekly 15-minute tag-in sessions to keep you on track and answer questions. You’ll also have access to the Piano Improvisation Learning Lounge (PILL), interactive group sessions where we actively improvise together. I’ll teach techniques while you follow along as I play, guiding you step by step at your own pace. These sessions are alive with possibilities: improvisation, idea-sharing, and open Q&A, all in a welcoming space. Whether you’re introverted (like me!) and prefer to keep your camera and mic off or enjoy jumping in to chat, you’ll feel right at home. Plus, as part of this offer, you’ll also receive a free 15-minute tag-in session during your first week and access to one PILL session to experience the full range of what I offer. Getting Ready for Your First Lesson: Have a music notebook handy (or some music staff paper); I’ll share additional materials through Google Drive. If you have a tablet, let me know, and I’ll send my custom-designed composition notebook! My Style: I keep our sessions practical yet deeply creative. We’ll use my effective “secret” practice methods to make learning feel natural. My goal is to guide you in discovering the piano on your own terms, finding both technique and emotion in every piece. I am an adult first time piano student. Hector is so clear with his communication, and his knowledge is outstanding. I am not great with technology but Hector helped me get situated for a very informative and helpful online lesson. Hector explained to me his philosophy of hands on training mixed with a study of theory and I am very excited he is my teacher as I begin this new hobby.

I have had several weekly lessons with Héctor so far and am very impressed. Héctor is very encouraging, tailors his lessons to my needs and balances playing the piano with music theory and rhythm development amazingly well. As an adult learner and a complete beginner with no knowledge of music theory or playing an instrument; I can see a marked improvement from lesson to lesson. Pieces I looked at weeks ago, now make perfect sense. I would highly recommend Héctor and look forward to each lesson.

So mature for a 25 year old. I am a father of college going kids. I never learned piano as a kid growing up, but decided to learn to encourage my kids. Sadly they quit learning and I continued. Today I am 56 years old and still try to play albeit with mistakes mostly church music. I am hoping Hector will get me to the next level. I have only had 1 lesson and I am very hopeful it will get better every week.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive education and training in music. I studied at the National Conservatory of Music of Mexico, where I practiced intensively and earned several recognitions. I also attended prestigious programs in Mexico and the U.S., including my studies at The Golandsky Institute with world-renowned pedagogue Robert Durso.
