FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
PROCheck's fee structure is based on the size, age, and complexity of the property. The cost covers a thorough inspection of the various components for overall function and safety. Additional fees apply for the extra services PROCheck offers (radon or mold testing, pool & spa inspection, sewer video scope inspection, and additional 'on-property' dwellings). You might save a few hundred dollars to hire the cheapest home inspector but pay a hefty price if the inspection wasn't thorough or if you couldn't understand the report. According to the national average home inspection cost, you should expect to pay between .25 to .40 per square foot from a reputable inspection company.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Greg Greenberg, the founder and CEO of PROCheck Inspections, has a background of 25+ years in residential and commercial construction & management. Greg and his experienced team of inspectors are ICA (Inspection Certification Association) certified, and have been approved and endorsed by the California Real Estate Inspection Association, ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and InterNACHI, which is the world's largest association of certified home inspectors. PROCheck inspectors are highly trained, with more than 120 hours of classroom, in-field, and hands-on technical training. With Our ICA certification proudly posted on our website and business cards, we at PROCheck hope to demonstrate our commitment to professionalism and begin to gain the trust of realtors and home buyers alike.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Home inspections in California matter! A thorough home inspection in CA can reveal important red flags, so buyers who want to make sound investments turn to home inspectors for insight. Buyers need to know if their new home has serious damage or is in need of significant repairs. Given how helpful PROCheck's services tend to be, this is one home-buying expense nobody should skip.
