- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm ready to assist you from one-room consultation to an entire home or commercial spaces design. My costs are affected by several factors. Clients frequently need help with space planning and layout, color palette and paint selection, choosing furniture, lighting, window treatment, flooring, accessories and art work. I suggest my clients 4 fee options : hourly rate, square foot rate, percentage-based rate and flat rate. Hourly rate $180 /hr new client first consultation $230 /hr project development and drawings $195 /hr layout, physical staging, white gloves moving clients furniture/accessories - new or existing $175 /hr shopping consulting Square foot rate Home or commercial projects larger than 2k sqft : $6/sqft Percentage-based rates Large remodeling or new home construction: percentage of the total billed project, including construction, furnishing and materials. Usually around 20% Flat rate Services and fees to be agreed. Services could cover from single furniture piece buying, to complete home makeover.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually I first meet clients at their properties. This consultation is free if I'll get the job. I perform a complete check-up of the space, asking the client targeted questions. Once I have some highlights, I proceed dividing my design process in 8 phases. 1. Space planning and layout 2. Color palette and paint selection 3. Furnishings selection (furniture, lighting, window treatment, accessories and art work.) 4. Coverings materials selection (fix and loose furniture) 5. Purchase, delivery and installation of items 6. Job site supervision 7. Collaboration with the Project Manager (if any) 8. Selection and supervision of White Gloves Company
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated in Florence, Italy. I'm allied member of ASID and AIA Associations. The first is American Society of Interior Designer, the second one is American Institute of Architect. I do continuing education to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and new trends throughout training, classes, meetings with other colleagues, attending to design events and so on.
