FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have done stagings that I charge $2,000 for and I have done stagings that I charge $20,000 for. It all depends on the property and the seller's needs. A seller that is living in the house while it's staged is going to be charged a higher rate than a staging of a vacant home just because of wear and tear...
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For stagings, I require that the property is clean and swept and that the construction part of the project is over. I also require a key to the property during the time of the install... Without a key, someone is going to have to be doing a lot of waiting around and that gets frustrating. When I meet a new client for the first time, I ask a lot of questions and I encourage clients to do the same. We need to get to know each other and develop a good rapport.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as an apprentice for many years and the woman I worked for was amazingly talented and generous and I learned everything I know from her.
